The rain in Oregon stays mainly EVERWHERE...

So, once the winter falls on Oregon, we do not run and hide as other states may. We take full advantage of the green and beauty that we find all around us in the dreary rain. That being said, there is always the odd day of PERFECT WEATHER thrown in there from October to April and what better way to enjoy it but to hit the coast?!

This pic is a couple years old, but it is definitely one of my favorites EVER! I think this was mid October. Suprisingly, not too windy, and just crisp enough to be chilled when we got back to the car. PERFECT!

So enjoy your days out there in the big US of A. Me, I'm gonna take advantage of the FABULOUS day here in Hillsboro (Oregon) and run around and soak up the Vitamin D.

So, in order to start a new blog, I feel that it is only fitting to jump into this Friday Fiesta Fun with a post of my own.

The boyfriend and two of our friends ended the summer in Hawaii (be jealous, it's ok. I don't mind), and I wanted to share my favorite 10 minutes of the entire week long trip with you all...

As you can see from the first picture to this one, Damanjit has lost his turban. He is of the Sihk religion from India and must wear it at all times. He doesn't cut any of his body hair save his mustache for eating purposes. His head hair is easily three times as long as mine and has a beautiful natural course wave to it. Needless to say, I'm jealous of it and it made my week when it (the turban) came off in a flourish of splashes!!

It was a fabulous trip, but this was definitely an activity to remember. And the best part, it was FREE. That's right, I said FREE! All we had to do was sit through a really bad/lame timeshare presentation at one of the hotels. Completely worth the lost 2 hours of my time and the really bad breakfast that they told us was going to be 5 star!!
